About 2 years ago, my dad rototilled the back yard. and he found this. it used to have a pin saudred on the back, but ts missing. I'm wonering how I can tell who owned it, or looking up serial number, and what metal they were made out of? just thought it was interesting and worthy to show. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Wow! Very cool find. Wonder if the state of Ohio kept the records?

These are neat. I have one from NY (somewhere). I was lucky though I bought it with the paper hack license included so I even have a picture of the dude who used it..Maybe state records coud be found if you get lucky! Thanks for sharing.

Youre welcome! Never expect what could be right in your back yard sometimes. I imagine that he lived in my house( built in 28) and was working outside, wearing his uniform and lost it.

Very interesting find, researching it to find the who, what, and where would be just as much fun as finding it.....what if the person was famous?

Very interesting find. I'm surprised you found it in that good condition, you'd think something buried in the backyard would be rusted like hell.
