1772 British Half Penny - Coin Community Forum

McBain New Member Canada 2 Posts	Posted 10/15/2012 12:19 pm Picked this up at a local flea market the other day. From what I can tell, it's a British half penny. The date is mostly worn off, but I believe it's 1772. It's in terrible condition, but what is it worth if anything? Also, I apologize for the pictures, I had a hard time taking them. But its still of alright age. You can get a BU Red coin from the 1790s for £20-50 - to really get anything of value, you need Queen Anne and before (you'd probably get 50p for a queen anne in this condition).
