can somebody help with Braided Hair Cent dates ?
I found on Krause the date are from 1840 to 1857, while I got a coin from 1839, is a Krause error or my coin is fake ?

There were five major Large Cent style differences in 1839, including the Braided Hair (also known as Petite Head and Head of 1840).

So, officially, the Braided Hair Large Cent started in 1839.

And, oh, what an example OIH82W8 has posted for you!! WOW!!
