How would you grade the following NGC slabbed coin and what would be the value? Just curious how my decision turned out. Thanks!

I'm thinking F15 details. Nice original surfaces, perhaps with the damage it would retail at $250-300.

Are the lines on the lower-right reverse are on the slab not the coin?

Thanks so far. Just wondering how the graffiti on the obverse will affect the resale value if I ever were to choose to sell it. I saw another post earlier on the flying eagle that was AU but scratched and it seriously detracted from the price. Was curious if this dollar was in the same boat?

Thanks!

I'll go with VG-10, but it could make F-12+ in hand. Tough to tell. It is one of the better examples I've seen where graffiti is less than a huge distraction. I'll say it's about a $350 or a bit more coin without the graffiti and $225-$275. as is. So at that end of the grading spectrum, I'm guessing the artwork takes about $100 off. Tough coin to get all original under $350, so if you paid mid-$200s, you'll do just fine selling as long as there is 7070 demand out there.

As you get higher on the grading scale, the nominal and % impact graffiti has on value generally increases.

Me too ^ VG-10 details. Agree on the graffiti being less of a distraction than on many I've seen too.

Fine Details and probably worth around $200 retail. The reverse looks cleaned and the obverse has graffiti, neither of which are severe to my eyes.

Without problems it would be a $300 coin.
