Need a bit of help here guys. Before the silver maple, the RCM made silver bars....1oz 10oz and I'm pretty sure 5oz. I'm trying to find a few but am having difficulty. I have found a few on ebay buy by sellers that only ship in the USA. Man that makes me mad when Canadian silver cant come home ugh! Anyways, I'm trying to find out why they are more difficult to find. Any insight on this mystery or Intel where I could buy some bars would be greatly appreciated. CHEERS!

From what I've heard the RCM deals more in larger amounts when it comes to silver bullion.
The 10oz and 1oz bars are at least a decade or 2 old and none are being pressed these days, only 100oz bars.

Thanks POBOXW.... I know that they are no longer pressed anymore. In fact, because they havent been pressed in over 25years is the reason why I'm after them. I'm actually trying to find out where they all went? They were out there, and you can find the occational one but what happened to the masses? Were they pulled and melt into the now silver maples? People just hoarding them? I cant find any info anywhere online so far on the deal with these bars.

@ POBOXW I was just reviewing this thread here and I realized that the way I wrote my comment could be interpreted in a negative affect. It wont let me edit, but I was truly thanking you for chiming in with your knowledge on the subject. Thought I would write this just in case

I've seen 3 or 4 RCM 1oz bars go through ebay recently in the $50-$60 ballpark. Great little pieces of history with regrettable prices.

Yeh, they have been coming out of the wood works recently. A few ebayers are putting them 1 up at a time. I've bought 3 from ebay and 2 privately. Have a total of 5. 3 sealed, 2 not. Love them little guys. I used profits from other sales to buy...which has kept my costs to a minimum. Some people use profits for more silver where I use them for premium stuff so my costs are small. Its all about investment for me so the amount of ounces I have isn't as important as how much out of pocket I have invested.

They do carry a really high premium for sure. Don't know if it's just a phase right now, which I think it is. I've backed off because the prices were getting just too high. I think I'm good with 5. Be nice to get my hands on the 10oz for sure. There has been 1 up for a while now. Talked to the guy...said he would let it go for no less than $600. In my eyes, that's too much. One thing to buy and oz or 2 at $60 but a full 10? Naw. This is the same reason why I haven't got the 1998 10oz silver maple.

I still cant find any history on the bars though...aside from the fact the I own 1, its like they never existed. I've seen on a few ebay adds claiming a date like 1985 but have no idea how they were able to distinguish that date. I've asked and no replies. Still hope someone will discover some more information and pass it on.
