I have a $20 note with the word SPECIMEN across Andrew Jackson’s picture.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what is the significance of this?

It's an older note 1929 with the stamp from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Missouri. National currency J00127694A
The Condition is poor, looks like its been through a washing machine.

Post a picture. The BEP did make a few specimen notes during the change over from Large to Small notes. I have never seen one enter into circulation. What color are the letters?
