Ya know, I might just give them 88 cents for one of those- that's about all they're worth anyways! And what the heck's a "millinch" anyways?

The Indianapolis Star carried a full page add with the opportunity for all of us to bring in our coins and sell at an Indy motel this week. Of course they included extremely high prices that they COULD be paying and they will buy ANYTHING, even foreign coins! Sadly a whole lot of non-collectors will take their stash in to sell and have no idea whether or not they were treated fairly. Must be tons of money to be made as this group took out two full pages as the other was for jewelry and collectables. A golden opportunity, I am sure?
Rest in Peace

What a deal! .88 cents per coin! I can't read the "fine print" but I'm guessing "shipping and handling" are $9.95 per coin!! And what is a "millinch"? Mike

Mili-inch...a thousandth of an inch? or a new technologicial word for BS.

These are reproductions covered in a thin film of silver.
What makes this different from forgery?
In the UK the reproduction company has it's initials stamped into the coin.
These Will hit ebay as the real deal and the innocent buyer will get ripped off buying a rare date fake.
I wonder if these were imported from China, or if a bright spark in the USA decided to make the fakes.
Anyway it looks to me like it's $4.95 postage and handeling per order (Max 5 coins).

I thought there was a law that said that whenever you make something like this, it has to say "COPY" on it.

Thank you for the pic

Somebody on ebay Germany just paid 242 euro for a restrike
of the 1933 eagle full solid gold and a size of 26 mm no mention
of the weight and only one side shown and promise that only 1000 were ever minted
I measured my original 1927 and it is 34 mm

If they shipped for free, it would still be a rip off. These "so called coins" cost about 13 cents to make. I get offered many of these junk items, and would not buy nor sell them.
