A fairly worn example I found locally. I'll be looking to upgrade when the right one comes along.

Nice looking Charles II shilling paddy!

But let me see if I understand this, You in England, bought an English coin that was residing in the Former Colonies West of the 'Pond', just to have it sent back home to England. Is that correct?

Not just to have it back - it was a date I needed for my own collection, and the price was reasonable.
Actually, I did very well - the seller had bought it at Spink for over $300 a few years back, and I bought it back for about half that! It will go nowhere now 'til I pop my clogs.

Not Dutch - very typical British euphemism for passing away. For some reason no one likes to say "die" so we have endless paraphrases - "kicking the bucket", "shuffling off the mortal coil" (Shakespeare) etc.

Nice pick up paddy. Looks like a very shrewd buy. I think if you look a little closer that is in fact 1676/4 not sure of the rotation of the 4 weather its tilted forwards or backwards but its defo a 4 under there
