I know several here are not too keen on slabs, but I had to share this success story. Cherry-picked what I believed to be a 1902 low-sea half-penny from a raw lot on ebay a few years ago. Finally got around to sending it in to NGC last month, and they just posted the certification today. Couldn't be happier with the results:
