I agree with AU53. The obverse shows signs of being cleaned or is it just the lighting?

thanks dave 700x,,it might have been cleaned ...i dont know....has lustre.....i would like to learn what you based that on? there is some crud around the devices,,,,not much....I'm into it for $35...so I'm fine,,,just trying to learn more about the au/xf area and cleaning! thanks again

I'm with low end AU on this as well. Try the PCGS photograde website for more help on grading!

That crud you mention around the devices on the obverse is what I am questioning. This can be remnants left behind after a coin has been wiped.

Probably lower AU but something about the shiny look does not look like mint luster. I will probably have to agree with cleaned/overdipped.
