Before I joined the military I was in the union at the ship yard in philly and they built oil tankers from scratch and after each tanker we completed we got a coin for that ship. I'm a master electrician there and was in charge of the fire system on the ships.

John I'm not sure one of coins has a scratch on the ship and it looks like copper but I really don't know maybe polished brass they had to make lots of them one for each person who worked on the ship
