Hello All,

Firt time poster, long time reader. I was recently penny roll hunting (canadian) and came across what I believe is blank. I am not sure if it is, but hoping I could get some opinions on these pictures.

Thanks.

Its called a blank planchet. Not really familiar with them because I just found my first one yesterday! LOL hahah. From what I understand is it just didnt make it through the last stamping process. Its pretty neat to find huh.
Started two threads yesterday.

Nice Find! Yours is what is known as a Type II blank planchet, as the rims have been upset slightly to prepare the blank for striking.

Ive seen may go on ebay for 5 bucks give or take. Luck of the draw. Personally I'm just gonna give mine to a fellow collector who wants one. Its cool and all to find and I did find 1 but I'm good with that. If someone else can appreciate it more than me...then they can have it. Just hope I get a deal down the road too. Karma.
Rest in Peace

I have one I found in an original roll of 1967 nickels back in 1967. I have kept it for 45 years. I guess if it is now worth $5.00 it has appreciated 9,900% in all those years! Is my math right? I haven't had enough coffee yet today to be sure.
