While I was assisting a friend at FUN this January, we had the pleasure of having a YN assist us, gratis. We met this young Pre-Med student at the ANA Summer Seminar this past June / July. While there, I initiated a swap for a 1907 Dime he owned, in PCGS 58 and with a CAC sticker for any AU 58 common dated Dime at another friend's table - he selected a very choice 1903-Phila - warmly toned with good luster. For whatever reason, he decided not to continue with his AU 58 Type set and I offered to buy the 1903 Dime back ( I have an AU 53 in my set ) and wanted a little better coin.

I picked up a nice little Quarter this evening at auction - and I think I'll be very pleased with it... looks very well struck... and has good luster. Light rim toning on the top of the Obverse too !

One of the YN's from this past year's ANA Summer Seminar was nice enough to text me this evening that a date I was looking for in AU 58 was just listed on ebay. I need it for my Everyman Collection at PCGS: no Reverse Images - sorry.

I found three coins to upgrade my Dime set - and one of them used to be mine - the 1911-D - which I purchased from David Lawrence in 1995 - raw - and in the 14 years it was in my Dansco album, it acquired some really nice toning. I had it graded and sold it to a friend - who - some where along the line, upgraded that date and resold it. Here are the images from Todd of BluCCphotos: I picked these coins up at JJ Teaparty.

Coming back home has happened quite a few times - because of my latest set of Dimes. Seems quite a while ago when I sold off my newly graded raw set, the new owner [ a good friend ] has upgraded these coins. Now that he knows I am working on my 3rd set of Dimes, he's been nice enough to offer me any coins he plans on upgrading. I won two Dimes in this weekend's Heritage Auction: Both intended for the MS Date Set: I also spotted a crusty looking AU 55 with a CAC sticker that would slide in with a bunch of XF 45's through AU 53's:
