1981 Penny Struck Through Grease

I found this a few weeks ago while rolling coins out of a donation bin. It appears to have been Struck Through Grease. I have no idea why the colour on the photos is weird. The coin appears a normal trace red color in hand.

PMD most likely.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Looks like a coin that was at the end of a roll, of an industrial coin rolling machine....

The mark on the coin is not perfectly round. This photo shows it a little better. Could PMD from a rolling machine or a similar device leave a mark that is not uniformly round?

Coin rolling machine is only one possibility,no matter,the raised ridges with no adjacent weakness indicate displaced metal,definitely PMD.

I reckon a coin rolling machine or a small drill. Without doubt PMD.
