Broken-Coin Pillar of the Community United States 1812 Posts	Posted 11/06/2012 12:20 pm About 7 years ago I purchased a cheap scale for under $20 that was made in China on ebay as I have a weight limit on my other scale, and was not really concerned about an exact weight... My other scale is a top-of-the-line scale I purchased some dozen years ago when my daughter joined my coin business and we started dealing in jewelery and gemstones, and needed exact carat weight on the gemstones... believe it or not, the cheap $20 scale (while it does not measure carat weight) is spot on with my $500+ scale when it weighs grams or penny weight (DWT). And if you want to measure any large gemstones on a cheap, but accurate scale, 0ne gram equals five carats (if memory serves as I've ended that business in 2003).. Report this Post to the Staff

stud722 Pillar of the Community United States 1088 Posts	Posted 11/09/2012 1:31 pm Already got my scale in the mail today. Right out of the box, dead on. I am pretty impressed with it thus far. It is easy to use. I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10. I give it a 9.5 and not a 10 because it comes with trash batteries instead of energizers or deracells :) I would recommend this scale It also has a 10 year warrenty! Report this Post to the Staff
