I know that there have been countless forums about scales and such. I am now looking for a small pocket scale that is decent for a really decent price (looking to spend under $20) My problem here is that there are so many different styles, brands, etc. I am most likely going to just buy off of ebay (I know most of them are from china and what not but my funds are on the low end right now). If anyone has bought one of these on ebay and likes it, please feel free to give me some feedback. Thanks in advance

At some point, I am going to need one to take with me to a coin show. I hope someone can help you, which will also help me. For what it is worth, I have been eyeballing this selection for a while... http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/hom...ion=0&page=1Opinions? Pass the popcorn.

jbuck, thanks for the input. I think I am going to look at a scale that weighs down to 0.01g and I am not sure if I want one that goes up to 200g or 300g (they are roughly the same price).

I bought a small pocket scale from ebay for around $10 for a buy it now price with shipping included. I like it a lot. I use it all of the time and it seems to be calibrated pretty well for such a low end scale.

I need to get me one of those pocket scales. The one I have is small, but not pocket sized.

I bought an "El cheapo" scale off the bay about 2 years ago. It hasn't missed a beat and I haven't even had to change the batteries yet and it is quite good enough for my needs No need to pay huge money for something you really only need to tell the difference between different silver US coins or fakes. Go for the El cheapo, If you are not satisfied with it chuck it in the bin , you would only have spent $8-$10 bucks. I'll stick with mine its all I need.

That is a great price at Amazon. Much better than a comparable one at Wizard.

I'm not an ebay person. However, I once, and only once, did use ebay for a purchase. It was a scale. Made in China. Never did work accurately. Now sits on a shelf and soon to be dumped into a garbage can.
