This mint mark looked like an RPM in Macro, and I think it is 1981D RPM 3.

Sorry, I am not seeing an RPM. Your pics are nice and clear but a little to close up,IMHO.

Most of these photos were taken with microscope camera 100 and 300 power. The first shot is a blowup from Nikon Coolpix at 4 megapixals. Thanks for the comment John, with all the same markers if this is not an RPM, then it's from the same die. The NW serif area is damaged, but the shelf area and mint mark type are same as RPM 3. I must admit because of RPM type and this coin being circulated some features are hard to see. Didn't expect markers to be there, but they are.

You may want to PM chuck (coppercoins) and see if he wants to comment on your coin. He is kinda in retirement at present so be patient. Just an idea.
