What is the deal with Chucky Chees tokens. I just scored a couple handfuls. they are non-ferrous; this much I know. They are also dated by the year which I find interesting for tokens. Save them or give to a snot nosed kid? This is the question.

Save the mint state ones and give the others away.

I recently came across some Showbiz tokens when going through my old stuff. For those that don't remember, Showbiz was the predecessor to Chucky Cheese. Some are stainless steel in color and others are the normal Chucky Cheese coin metal (brass, bronze, ?). Took me back to some great memories at the play place.

I was in my late teens when the Video Arcades made their appearance. I spent what little money I had there. I remember back in 1981 (when I was 20), I had a friend who managed an arcade. he'd give me handfuls of tokens so my girlfriend and I could play games (for free) for hours.

FYI, currently, I do not own or play ANY video games.

IMHO, a complete waste of time. I'd rather stare at coins or other collectibles.

Some people collect these. Here's a good page, with some links to buyers/prices and some history: http://users.pullman.com/fjstevens/...cec/CEC.html
