WVUcoins Valued Member United States 141 Posts	Posted 11/06/2012 11:11 pm Does anyone know where I can find some information and perhaps values for Workhouse tokens. I know these tokens were issued by several of the workhouses in England from around 1812 during a national shortage of coins. I was asked by someone to help him sell these tokens but before I can do that I would like to become more informed about these tokens. Thanks Derek Report this Post to the Staff

Thanks for the link as well as the link to the other info pages. They should make for some educational reading. Peter I believe the ones I will be getting have many silver ones as well as the bronze ones. It doesn't appear there are too many silver workhouse tokens for sale on the bay.
