The 37 D Buffalo nickel with part of his front leg missing is the "famous" buffalo.

There is also a 36 D called a 3 1/2 legged buffalo that you don't hear referenced as often. I have never seen a photo of that.

Would someone be willing to post a photo of that? I have never seen one of those.

AND they are expensive. I sometimes wonder about the ones we used to erase part of the legs when we were kids.
