Trivia: Coins of Antoninus Pius never have legend reading simply ANTONINVS PIVS without AVG between the two words. Coins reading ANTONINVS PIVS belong to Caracalla or Elagabalus.

Doug, I bet that Dupondius was a good deal for $5 back then. Or was it a normal price?

 I just got the coin in today. It's a bit darker than the seller's image as I kind of expected. It's happened to me a couple of times where the color is a lot different. The coin was over-cleaned a bit. The bare metal toned up a bit since it was listed, I imagine. I still like it and it wasn't a bad deal for a Sestertius. It's about the same size as my Anastasius follis, a more uniform shape. |

I had to stay awake until 7am for the auction, but I did manage to win the Antoninus Pius Aureus I mentioned earlier, which is now my favorite coin and one of my most expensive. I have a policy of not posting until I receive it in hand and international shipping may take some time from this auction house, but I'll let everyone know once I have it!

I am glad to hear that you won the coin. Congratulations!! I know, shipping can be a pain sometimes.
Once you receive, make a new thread for the coin. That way it gets more attention. And by all means, if you have other ancient coins, post them too!
