I've recently bought four silver postage stamps. I have identified three as being produced by Hallmark Miniatures Ltd. The fourth is from some sort of different set the edge is smooth and the reverse is plain except for the hallmark which is
For British silver hallmarks, a three-turreted castle usually indicates the city of Exeter. "RM" is the maker, but don't know which at the moment. The "f" is a code for the year, but the alphabet repeats over the decades; the cartouche the letter is in, and whether upper or lowercase, would help to pin it down. Could you provide a picture?
Sorry, should have been thinking of more modern hallmarking. Still can't make out the city mark, but should be Edinburgh. I would bet the "f" is year 2005.
