Oops, I think you have encountered the problem of uploading new pictures with the same filename; all prior pictures change. The pic that was up here a moment ago, by the portrait, seemed to suggest no earlier than Edward I, and no later than Richard III, but could use a better pic of any remaining lettering, and a reverse pic

 to the community The image is half Roman coin, there isn't enough left to tell how it might be of. Post a picture of the other side, it might give us a clue.

 ... The pict was of a British (i think) hammered piece.. Now it's of part Roman coin reading AVGVESTA..

Still would like to see the reverse (back side of coin), and better picture of any lettering, but the full-looking crown with the three fleur-de-lys, and the full bust with collar still make me think of Edward I or later. The way the collar is out of line with the king's chin on this coin, we should be able to find another identical example out there.

I believe the mark to the right of the king's neck is the V mintmark of the ecclesiastical mint of Bishop Dudley in Durham, making this King Edward IV. There are a number of die varieties, but I think this 2nd reign (1471-83) example comes pretty close: http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/sh...2049023A.jpg
