As everybody said, buy the coin and not the certificate. I went friday to Nuphilex and viewing all those certified coins, I asked my self what are the proportion of coins graded exactly vs those who are off (both ways). For my personal view, I don't think I will have the chance to take a look of a large population of coins of the same year/denomination. Everybody can miss something. So, this was the question that came in my mind last friday at nuphilex in relation with the quantity of coins they had the chance to grade.

"Buy the coin not the holder" means you must be able to grade for yourself. No two coins are identical.Circulated coins do not wear in discrete amounts.Uncirculated coins are graded by assessing the strike, surfaces, and lustre.Weakness of one factor may be offset by strength of another.Grading is just an opinion, you must be able to decide which coin is for you and at what price, using the TPG's grade a starting point for negotiation or bidding.

The TPGs are great at helping you authenticate a rare and expensive coin

Yeah I've cut out a few coins from ICCS holders that have been graded, such as a 1909 10 cent as Vg-10
Id rather have it in a 2x2 personally and in my binders

TPG are good for debating MS coins I find because the difference between MS63 and MS64 could be 1000 dollars on some coins

Ultimately, it is not the grade, but the eye-appeal that is the deciding factor for me... trust your own eyes, buy what you like.
