I rinsed it with acetone before I put it into an airtite. I never conserve a coin unless it REALLY needs it. I like them dirty!

Yea, it's one of those coins that jump out at you when you dump the roll. I really thought it was just a proof at first....I was much happier when I saw it was not.

How long did you leave in the acetone for this coin? Have some proofs I need to rinse and want to make sure before doing so. Thanks very much

I didn't soak it, I rinsed both sides....that's how I use acetone 99% of the time. About the only time I've found soaking in acetone to be useful is with PVC.
