Is this note worth keeping or should I put it back in Circulation? I guess I am asking if it has any value over its face. Thank you for your Time.

Looks like you have hit a glory hole for old notes. I would definitely keep this one if it were mine, I can't really say anything about the others as I don't know enough about Bills to know if they are worth keeping as far as being worth more than face, but I always keep star notes and old ones like this would definitely go in my keeper pile

Quote: Is this note worth keeping or should I put it back in Circulation? Let' see how many on this forum (CCF) offer you a premium. That should answer your question. Please do keep us posted...as I really want to know. Thank You PS...I would invest that $50 in something else and call it a day EDIT BELOW Quote: I found this when I looked it up http://www.mycurrencycollection.com...s/lookup.php don't know what that means though. Why do you keep posting this nonsensical site

I cant figure out what your trying to do, are you just looking for currency to sell or are you trying to build a collection of some sort Ceylon62 asked If any member of this forum would offer you a premium, I'll start with an offer of $ 51.50 but you have to pay the Shipping and Insurance, if you wont take my offer and you get no other offers maybe you should just use it to buy a good Currency Book Bill Collector

From what I have heard, the BEP is shredding up all the small portrait notes so at some point the small portrait notes are going to be hard to find.If I find an older small portrait note in real nice condition I will keep it.As far as "trying to build a collection of some sort" to each his/her own. Collect what you like. John1

I don't collect currency. I do get the odd bill or two when I guy coin collections and I always look at my currency to see if there is anything interesting. So the general idea is to resell if its worth while or Spend if not. Though I have kept one or two notes as their value has increased faster than the money would if it were in the bank.

John, No offense...but it's just generic info.
There are a lot of variables that come into play with star notes and it's best to do ones own research etc and sort out what's worth while hanging onto. IF someone wanted an example of a small portrait star then it MAY make sense to have one in a collection but circulated notes even small heads are not worth much over face UNLESS there is something unique / rare about the run size etc.
IF the above note was a ChCu gem note then it would have a premium.

Well, I made him an offer but haven't heard back from him, maybe he used it to buy a good currency book, hope so as I really did not need that $ 50., I already have a complete set of nice small size $ 50.'s, was just trying to help him out. Bill Collector
