Looks like the owner has done the old Leave the wallet on top of the car while unlocking it and drive off forgetting it is there trick.

I have done this many times wallet ,mobile phone etc.
Nice of those guys to do the right thing.
Looks like a coin dealer has found a couple of good Samaritans
