Is there a link for the Gatewest sale instead of looking for the coins individually?

I think you just have to look for coins individually. They don't even say sale next to them or anything, you just need to know the issue prices for the coins you want. ðŸŽ.

Some GW's offers are attractive, but honestly, there is no discount for what I want

They sell all 20 for 20 coins for $22.95 except the first coin. That's the normal price, not a sale.

Thanks CanadianCoins1999!

I recently placed an order with Canada Post for the 1812 proof set before doing much research other than ebay pricing.

After searching the Canada Post website for a phone # that works in the U.S., I was able to cancel my order and place an order with Gatewest.

Not only did I save on the sales price I saved on the exchange rate and foreign transaction fee, plus I picked up a few other sale items I had been looking for. Total shipping cost was only $5.00.

You are welcome. I am just 13, so I do not know all the dos and donts, I am just in the stages of figuring out what I want to collect. But thanks anyway I am going to the Mint's Ottawa boutique next week to see if they have anything new. I am also hoping to get some circulation rolls from them. Last time I went I was lucky enough to get 3 rolls of pennies that are magnetic and another that are non magnetic.

It's interesting that both Gatewest and Cdncoins have their discounts on the 2012 and 2013 coins ended on the same day. As if they were in a price war or someone asked them not to sell the coins with such low price... And too bad CA is closed for vacation these days, othewise they might have joined the battle and we would have better selection.

BTW I cancelled my order for Rose-breasted Grosbeak with the Mint and placed a new one this morning with GW (plus a few other coins). I bet I don't need to wait as long for my order to arrive.

For those who have been collecting coins for years, is it normal for these dealers to have this kind of sales at the end of each year? Just wondering if I should hold off buying any unpopular coins (that I like) until the end of the year.
