I am not overly familiar with pillar dollars......Assuming the coin is genuine it looks like an off center Double strike. Given that the the likely technology used was a Spindle(screw) press an off center strike isn't that unusual and the same applies to double striking.

The rim on the second picture near D.REX looks strange (dentils stop before the coin's end ...)
And in any case, the whole coin looks strange (even for a double struck)

The coin is struck at least twice - possibly more than 2 but I am not certain. The strike is eccentric.

In my opinion it is a MODERN FORGERY. Flat strike made from transfer dies.
