1970-S Penny With Wrinkle Above Date?

GreatWalrus New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 11/11/2012 12:30 pm I found this 1970-s penny with a wrinkle above the date while searching through some rolls from the 1980s. I haven't seen anything like it before. There isn't any damage on the back of the coin that I could see have caused it. Anyone know what the deal is with this coin? Report this Post to the Staff

chzman Pillar of the Community United States 1137 Posts	Posted 11/11/2012 10:27 pm Not like this, if it were to go around the whole coin and some devices were hidden as a result, I would keep it for show but still not considered to be worth much of anything to most collectors. You will want to make sure that this coin is not of the small date variety before discarding it.
