When does the mint come out with the final numbers on these sets? Also, does anyone have the latest population reports from the TPGs?

PCGS is at around 14,000 for both (13,911 PF, 14,089 RP)
NGC is at around 36,000 sets (35,700 PF, 36,059 RP)
No clue about the Mint...numbers should have been reported by now

They probably won't release the number until the end of the month since they are probably still processing the final batch of return.... accounting work follow, Thanksgiving is next week......so, just enjoy your turkey and we'll see.

Any idea how many 70s there have been at both of the leading TPGs?

I'm sure as soon as these numbers come out ( if ever..haha ) they will be posted on here immediately. I hope it happens before the end of the year. I am really curious to see how much the final total dropped after cancellations and returns.

Thanks for the numbers Basebal21, I am sure glad I was able to get a set of 70s from Silvertowne and not take the risk of sending my other 2 sets into PCGS which I am sure would have not been 70s.

OK...it looks like NGC significantly updated their totals. I will give a breakdown by set type .... check out the percentages for the generic submission S proof (not SF or C & C):
SF set Proof:
36845 graded....17636 given 70 grade (47.8%)
C & C set:
7476 graded.....3429 given 70 grade (45.8%)
Plain ole S PF label:
443 graded.....101 given 70 grade (22.8%)
Reverse Proof:
37590 graded ....18614 given 70 grade (49.5)

So what is the plain ole S PF label? Was it a coin sent in that NGC didn't know which set it came from?

Probably one submitted on its own. I think you had to send it in as a set to get the SF label

"Plain ole' label" is just that....a 2012 S sent in by itself for grading... This one is an example...and an example of a misleading sale. Says it's from the C & C set and it very well may be BUT it has the "Plain ole' label" http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-S-Proo...em4abf2006f9

Just saw the news, 10% cancellations doesn't surprise me at all. Now how does the market react to this since it's considerably lower than the 2006 set, and graded 70's remain at a low percentage?

NGC graded almost twice as many 2012 reverse proofs PF70 as 2006 (so far). So I think that 2006 will still be more valuable.
