Hi
If anyone could give me an ID on the following two coins it would be greatly appreciated. I have a license to look for coins on the Thames Foreshore in London and both were found at Wapping. I usually ID my coins very quickly, but these two have eluded me despite many hours of searching.
The first coin was found in an area which was giving up late 17th- late 18th century coins.
It is 2.3cm in length and weighs 2.8g.To the right of the lettering is what looks like a small deer. But it doesn't show too well on the photo.
The rear of the coin is blank apart from what looks like two- four arabic numerals which have been stamped on the back in a rectangle.
