Hello, Here are some images of a coin I found and I was wondering what your opinions on it would be. It reads Continental Curency spelled with one "r." Thanks

It looks like a cast copy.

We just had a topic in which a coin like this was posted. I remember since I commented on it that it was my avatar!! You may want to look back in some of the threads and see if you can find it. I don't have time to do it for you right now. Sorry.

I have no referenes handy, so cannot add much to the discussion, but the degree of porosity is bothersome to me. IMHO that indicates a cast coin...a counterfeit. Others on the board are far more knowledgeable, so I'll yield to their opinions.

Best wishes

Thank you for your opinions and expertise. More are welcomed. I have been looking around in previous posts and other forums for information. The degree of porosity is a bit bothersome to me as well but from the fakes I have not seen one like this yet.
