Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I just came across this and wanted to see what everyone thinks.

Great Basin looks like my favorite theme so far.

Interesting mix of ideas here. I am not sure what I like yet. Some of them seem rather busy for a coin, but might look amazing on the puck.

I like many of the designs, except only #2 on Ft McHenry (not wild about it), and Perry's Victory #2, although I'm not crazy for that, either. All are fine on White Mtns, #2 or 3 on Great Basin and, wow, I like all of the Rushmores.

How is it that the CFA continuously picks the worst designs? It's inconceivable.

Only the Moose is any good for White Mountain. Perrys victory...barf. Great Basin, first one is OK, all others barf. Fort McHenry...barf. Now, in that second one, the first design is pretty cool. Mt Rushmore, the first one is great. That group of moronic "artists" likes the third one. Pffftttt. If these carry through like this, this will be the WORST group yet.

I really like the NH-01. I can imagine the proof would be awesome looking for any of the first three. The Perry's I'm not fond of any of them OH-01 seems cool but I think its to much detail for such a small coin. I guess NV-01 is ok. Not really liking any of them. MD-02 seems the best for a fort not a marching band. SD-01 for me is great. SD-04s concept is awesome but it just looks weird with Roosevelt and Lincolns heads merging into each other. I would make that one my pocket piece just to see their faces mold into a three eyed monster.

I agree with smoke. The first Ft Mchenry in the 2nd link is great so we know that wont be picked. All of the Perrys Victory are just awful so of course they recommended for one of those. I really dont know whose in charge of picking designs lately but they are doing a terrible job, also check out the 5 star generals commems if you havent. They basically seem to just go with what ever the easiest to draw is.

From the first link I like:

White Mountain National Forest Quarter: Image 3. I like the stronger trees in the image, and animals look good on the other ATBs.

Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial Quarter: Image 3. I think the mirror background will look awesome.

Great Basin National Park Quarter: Image 2. That tree would look awesome in a proof.

Fort McHenry National Monument Quarter: Image 1. I like showing the figures on the quarter.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial Quarter: Image 4. I like the unconventional idea of not showing the mountain, but the men who make the monument.

Shouldn't have long to wait to find which designs the Treasury Secretary picked. If '13's Mint release calendar like this years, SF should be busy producing the clad and silver proof quarters right about now for sale in January. Also means preliminary design work for '14 has been or will be shown to the CFA and CCAC committees for their comments and we should find out what those are soon too.

I like:
NH3
OH1 and OH3 are tied because I like OH1 better but I thought OH3 might look better on a coin in hand
NV1
MD3 (although none of them really show off the fort, which should be more prominent)
SD1 (seems like you need to show the finished product as it stands which SD1 is the only one to do, I don't like the ones with workers hanging on the mountain)
