What is this 'coin', please ?

USA-1-Dollar-1851-?

USA-1-Dollar-1851-?

It's the same size as a 1974D US dollar and weighs 22.75 g.
It isn't magnetic.

Is it a fantasy, a forgery (what of), or a pattern ?

What is its origin ?

I have to say that your, er, "coin" seems to be a far higher grade (well, detalization) than the linked example... not quite sure how that happened. (Also, his is magnetic and lighter. Are we looking (on his site) at a fake of a fake? )

Unfortunately, I don't own any fakes of US coins (though I did once see an album full of these at a market... didn't feel like paying over a dollar for a fake of a coin I'd never get a real version of unless I win the lottery). In fact, the only fake I own is a Kwang Shu tael, which is magnetic, and which I didn't pay for at all (the guy gave it to me for free when he noticed I was interested... I had no idea it was a fake at the time, and for all I know neither did the seller).

its not a fake nor a counterfeit coin, it is just a fantasy piece as no "coins' had this design and the denomination of a dollar. It is just some piece some private company made with the design of the Indian cent and the Reverse of something else with the denomination of a dollar. It could be considered a round but usually those are of precious metals and since it doesn't have a purity on it I am guessing this is not the case here

Edit: as I usually do, I respond and then read the other responses. The one in the link is the same coin and pretty much is the same thing I said, it probably isn't silver (even though the site doesn't really say what it is) and it is not fake, just a fantasy piece
