DIANAE VICTRI which also explains why she holds the arrow and bow. What will make you happy is that this reverse does not belong to Treb. Gallus but to Aemilian:

Fastest is not always best.

I've not seen an Aemilian under $100 but this one is the worst I recall. If the obverse were as nice as the reverse, this might be $400 but considering the portrait and obverse legend are damaged this is not going to be in high demand. I'm unclear on what I would pay for it but it is what it is and worth keeping without question.

I see no reason to suspect this as fourree, unofficial or anything bad other than damaged. By this time the silver alloy was horribly debased and easily damaged. There was a slight improvement under Valerian and then we went straight downhill to the silver washed stuff.

Well, I will definitively hold onto it. Looking at it under magnification, I believe you are correct, it is not of a base metal core, and like the Valerian coins in the other thread this appears to be deposits which have found there way onto the coin. I bought these coins and quite a few others like these (my last 3 threads) as fouree coins. Under much closer examination I agree they are not. This lot might actually be better then I had thought. Well anyhoo thanks Doug for the great news I guess what I have now is pretty rare!
