Can anyone explain what happened here, I often see smaller errors and die breaks on euro coins... mostly from Belgium etc. But never from Germany like this, probably because of their top engineering. Anyway, it would seem to me it could be more valuable then some other common error coins?

Would like to hear some opinions, here are some pics:

Looks like an off centre-strike or something but I'm not sure.

It's more interesting than simple die breaks.
What do you think is happening here?
To my eyes, the golden center is not well-centered in the coin.
Or perhaps the strike is slightly off-center too, contributing to the stars struck across the seam.

This is probably what they call "Spiegelei" in German. You could translate it as fried egg.
This is when the center is not well positioned and when the coin is being struck, it passes over the outer ring.
Here you have an impressive example: http://www.muenzauktion.com/franqui...hp5?id=53971

Interesting error--I'll remember that.
I found a few more "Spiegelei" at this link.
