JFK 1964 Half Dollar Proof

Hello all! I have come across a peculiar coin. It is a 1964 JFK Half Dollar Proof, but what is so peculiar about it? The eagle on the reverse side is covered with gold. I have never seen anything like it, and I was wondering if any of you knew any more than myself.

Its most likely an after market coin where the eagle had been plated. I havent seen any JFKs before but have seen it on a lot of other series

I've seen those plated Kennedy's mostly as jewelry on chains with the obverse head also gold plated.
