Good idea but I am sure there would be an extra charge. I remember they had a type of bubblegum machine that dispensed collector coins. John1

Actually, there already is a (somewhat limited) first cousin to the machine you've envisioned. The machine in question dispenses only loose quarters (generally in quantities of $1, $5, $10 or $20) but it can be found in most coin-operated laundromats and other places. If you're a quarter hunter, the laundromat "bill changers" are there waiting for you.
A word of caution, though... The laundry-doing public is already genuinely grouchy about having to be in that nasty laundromat doing their laundry and they might well react with serious hostility to some CRHer coming in and draining the bill changer of quarters. Might be best to do it when there's a minimal crowd there.

Speaking of laundromats - that might be a good place to hunt. Oh, I just ened to do a load - I'm sure he wont mind if I borrow a quarter...

I was thinking these kind of machines would be located in banks. So if a customer needed a box of coins sunday or saturday when said bank was not open, they could get one. of course I would not expect this to come without a charge, and thats why its kinda impractical but it would be so cool for us roll searchers

I thought water bottle dispensing machines were ridiculous 20 years ago so anything is possible. Even box of coin vending nachines.

The day that banks would do something to help roll searchers would be a cold day in you-know-where! I do like the idea, though; I'd be feeding money into the thing constantly.

i would gladly pay a small premium over face for the ability to get rolls whenever I desired, especially if it accepts payment in coins. I like the idea. they would be more profitable to put them by vending machines in heavily popululated areas for maximum profit I imagine though. so I wouldnt see one for another 10 years in my area anyway.

That would be one really large machine to have boxes, rolls on the other hand may not be.

Sounds neat, but I think it would be rather impractical. From a businessman's view it would be very expensive and time consuming to stock, not to mention huge and bulky, and would appeal to relatively few people. Snacks and sodas, however, would generate more profit and are far easier to restock and are easy to place. Like I said, neat but impractical. Happy Hunting! P.S.: 100th post!
