Sure am surprised the number of people still waiting for their orders. The RCM has my 1914 $5 sitting somewhere well secured, to be sure. Calling doesn't/hasn't helped so far but with this delay at least they aren't getting anymore orders on my account!

Quote: With just 2 coins to compare, one will be better than the other. It's a coin toss as to which one. Pun intended. I got mine just a couple weeks ago and I believe it to be just as good as ones I've seen posted here months ago I have two 1914 HS, and my father has 3 1914 HS which he just received. I would say the bagmarks are comparable, but his 3 do not have the lustre like mine. Also, I noticed the mint is now putting 2 security stickers on each coin capsule and they are better positioned. This should make it easy to identify the early and late releases if anyone is concerned.

@fed_ink85,THANKS FOR THE INFO. I WAS JUST ON THE PHONE WITH THE RCM SUPERVISOR AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THE 2 SECURITY STICKERS ARE AN ERROR AND THAT THEY WANT ME TO RETURN THE COIN AT THEIR EXPENSE AND THAT THEY WILL SEND ME AN OTHER ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I ASK HER IF MY COIN WOULD BE WORTH MORE SHE SAID LESS BECAUSE OF THE 2 STICKER SHOULD ONLY HAVE ONE.LOL. WHAT SHOULD I DO KEEP IT OR RETURN?

Could be that the coin with 2 stickers on capsule - kind of "demo" coin? For show and display and not a real one?

If I return the coin I know what they will do,tear one sticker off and return the same coin back to me.

I have ordered lots of gold coins and all of them have 2 hologram stickers. I ordered back from Nov 28 more orders in dec and jan and feb. All coins are consistent with no sign of being inferior and all have 2 hologram stickers

My 1913 & 1914 $5 hs coins both also have 2 stickers. DO NOT send it back unless you want to wait for them to play more games with you. how would having an extra sticker degrade the value of the coin anyway? Many people at the mint don't know s*** as it appears.

I would really like to know the reasoning behind this, IMO the capsules with only 1 security sticker should be the ones sent out in error. Could my capsule be 'hinged' open without breaking the one seal? My guess would be yes, but I'm not about to try.

I wonder if the reason for the slow shipping of the gold coins is because RCM doesn't want to flood the market all at once with them but it makes no reason why they ship out orders that were made in Feb before Nov.

I just noticed on my 1914 $5 capsule I have these hairline cracks all the way around. Anyone else have this? The capsule wasn't closed all the way either so when I closed it the holograms kinda folded.

If you have only one sticker, the capsule can easily be opened without noticeable damage to the sticker. I would try it if were you but it definitely can be done.
