Don't forget 1912 not a 1914 coin. Right now the 1914 $5 is doing very well.

^^^ oh, I didn't realize you had a crystal ball about the future price of all coins. I'd like to invest in one of those too.

at the Brampton coin show last Sunday, two older collector had 2 1914 pcgs graded 61 and 62 offered it to two of the larger dealers at the show asked 1200.00 no dealers wanted it. he apparently owns a graded 1916c soverign that he was more worried about? he paid over 2000.00 more than 10 years ago for the 1914 5 dollar pieces. by the way it wasnt the price he wanted, the dealers didnt want the coin.

sorry my typo errors they were graded 62 and 63, the main point was no dealers at this show anyway wouldnot make them an offer due to this unusual situation. so like I said before, if you can presell at a good profit, do it

I am sure the dealers did not want the coins because the asking price was too high. If he offered to sell it for bullion value, I am sure the dealers would jump on it. I don't like selling at shows because most of them are not interested in buying your coins except for a fraction of the value. Most of the dealers in shows are guys who collected coins all their lives and just want to sell their lifetime accumualtion of coins. Even the bigger dealers in the shows are home based businesses with no brick & mortor stores. A lot of stuff in the shows have worn out boxes and they don't seem to have too many new NCLT issues like the ladybug or bumblebee or dino coins or 5 coin penny sets.

whats the point of selling a graded ms 62 and ms63 at bullion value? about half of the ontario dealers who attend torex was at Brampton. most dealers usually offer 60 to 70% of trends for key dates.
