I picked this set up with a collection of US coins and it appears to be another over-the-top marketing gimmick but apparently was authorized by the US Mint and the USPS. This is a set of 25 tokens and sterling silver stamps (They call the stamps ingots and they are thick at about 1/8 inch depth.) Comes with a very nice wooden box with lock and key. But, the buyer also paid $139 per President for 25 Presidents or almost $3500 for the set!! Again, seems like over-the-top marketing to me but I do wonder it there is an "after-market" for the set? Anyone know anything about this?

Interesting set. I've never seen one before. Does it come with anything saying how the stamps were produced?

Only info refers to replica or actual US stamps and reference to "ingots"... Also reference Trademarks and copyrights are properties of US postal Service and US Mint - medal minted in US and gold plated layered in Switzerland and stamp ingots minted and gold layered in Switzerland.

Listed set on ebay last night with reserve of $350 and received a bid immediately so there is some value here.

It's a strange set. It'll be interesting to see what it goes for. Good luck.
