Hi all!

First time I could not find specific information about something that I encounter at.
I know that this is a 5 dollar bill, however I could not understand whether this is the old variation,
parallel variation or just a fake - variation.

Your help will be much appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you are seeing that seems suspicious to you. At first glance, it looks like a perfectly normal Series 1999-1906 $5 Federal Reserve Note.

Thank you for the response and for pointing me to the site which helped me identify the note, it just says on the note "Series 2006" so I got a little bit lost. BTW what does it mean if anything that note is of 1999-1906 series but says 2006?

Sorry, I meant to type 1996-2006. Meaning that the design didn't change noticeably for for the Series 1996, 2001, 2003 and 2006.

if you are referring to the fact it is a 2006 $5 and not colorized it is because the bep had left over paper stock that they had to get rid of and printed non colored big headed $5 dollar bills while they were printing colorized $5 dollar bills.
