I collect overdates, and while I usually find them at shows using my loupe, my latest pickup shows it's possible to find them on ebay too.

First, the photo from ebay. If you know where to look, you'll spot a pretty obvious serif jutting from the bottom of 5 (part of the 4).
I thought I saw a few other markers, so for a few bucks I thought it was worth the risk.

Here's how the coin arrived--my suspicions were right. It's a higher grade than my last 1875/74 and pretty much problem free.

What magnification loupe do you use, please ?

Thanks! A good 8X loupe works for me. Just as important is turning the coin under light to pick up the underlying digits, which usually have less relief than the main date.
