Today I received a letter from the Mint - they indicated that my "Silver Lunar Classic six coin Subscription" that was paid in advance - was charged PST and GST in error. A refund will be forth-coming.

mmmmm... I can only think of the two subscriptions of the round and scalloped coins. Each of which I pay for when they are shipped - for 12 coins each - annually.

Anybody else get this letter? Anybody know what they are talking about 'six coin subscription'?

In the lotus lunar series (scalloped) the first two coins were sterling silver (92.5& Silver) and therefore were gst/pst/hst taxable. The third coins, the dragon was pure silver (99.99&) so it was not taxable.

There was a bug a while ago where the mint did end up charge you sales tax. Anybody who noticed, needed to call and get a refund on the taxes. It looks like they finally got around to refunding people without having to be asked. :)
Rest in Peace

thanks for that. I just didn't recognize the "Classic Lunar Series" as being those coins. Much appreciated.
