Thanks Guys.

Question...since numismedia has VF20 and XF40... Is VF30 somewhere in between? I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times before.

Yes, the FMV will be ascertained by extrapolation.

Ron_CA,
Here is my 1818 which I bought in Sept. Ungraded.
The dealer let me go through a box of coins which he had bought but not yet repackaged for sale.

I bought it on its eye appeal and not the grade.
If it is not a Fine-12 then certainly it is a VG-10.
So your coin is in the high VF range. VF-35 is not at all
out of the question.

Mine is a 1818/1817 Small 8 variety.
Yours is a normal 1818 date.

Compare the first "8". Yours is slightly larger than mine.
Then compare the second "8."
Mine has "devil horns" and yours does not.
Those "horns" are the top of the "7."
There is a third variety which has your first "8"
and my second "8."
