I wanted to share this with you guys. It was a 1945P War Nickel. My guess is it was run over by the Ole Number 9. The reverse has a cool look.

As a kid in El Cerrito I used to put coins on the Santa Fe tracks to see how smashed they would get after the train passed over them. I remember they were pretty much flat as pancakes but you could still see the image.

Wish I'd have held onto them.

Here is the one I found a while ago. It's doesn't even fit into a coin tube. But it's still silver.
