My neighbor had this Lincoln Cent and asked me what I thought. Only thing I could thing of was a foreign planchet. All the details are there, just mushy and its extremely thin.

I agree. This is the result of sitting in an acidic solution either on purpose or accidentally. Either way is is PMD.

OOOH..... so the acid eats ALL surfaces evenly and the result is the original looking surface (and a little mushy) and a thinner coin? Interesting, Thanks!
