This item has puzzled me. I thought some other members prespectives on this token would help. Does any member know what this item is?

My guess: it is a token with an Eagle, arrows & sheild, there may have been an inscription below the claws & branches. The size is slightly under 22 mm, plain edge and golden colour. The $5 U.S. gold piece(Half Eagle Coronet Head was 21.6 mm made of 90% gold)If you were New to the country this token could be passed off as $5 gold piece with eagle side up?

This token was made to look like a US $5 gold piece. Comments welcome or better if you know what it actually is.

German game counter from the 1860's. Tiny letters beneath the eagle read SPIEL MÜNZE ("game coin," or "play money").
