Pokermandude Pillar of the Community Canada 1192 Posts	Posted 12/06/2012 7:58 pm Mistakes to happen. The wrong information re: date or a common variety isn't too detrimental. I once owned a PCGS graded silver 5 cent where the date on the slab didn't match the coin inside. A simple mechanical/clerical error. Long ago I also received an "unsealed" ICCS flip from an ebay seller. It is a bit unnerving, since the coins could easily be switched. But I agreed with the grade and it was a lower value (toned) coin, so no major loss. I would definitely return any unsealed ICCS coin if I felt there was any chance it didn't belong to that flip. I bid on an auction lot a while back for two UHC ICCS coins: a 1961 and a 1962 1c in PL-66 ultra heavy cameo. I already had the 1961, but I needed the 1962. When the pair arrived I was very pleased, both coins had beautiful, deep frosting and a nice red color. However, upon flipping the holders open, I was greeted with a pair of coins dated 1961. Thanks to ICCS, I now have three 1961 cents in PL-66 ultra heave cameo, and no 1962. The holders were not tampered with, ICCS just straight up dropped the ball, as they continue to do on a semi-regular basis. Report this Post to the Staff
